Simple Life
By Lisa Dudley & Harry Moore;

He lives in a cabin
Way back on a dirt road
No worries, just an old fishing pole
He’s gone back to the basics
He eats what he raises
He’s traded his riches and gold

For the simple things
That make a man happy
For a gentler way of life
It’s cornbread and beans
And faded old jeans
Just give him the simple life

Some say there was a woman
She cost him a fortune
And he lost his heart and his soul
But she taught him a lesson
About magic and mirrors
A lesson about what matters most

It’s the simple things
That make a man happy
It’s a gentler way of life
It’s cornbread and beans
And faded old jeans
Just give him the simple life
